adidas launches the new 4D model: 4D FORWARD, the shoe with advanced technology comes with improved cushioning and energy return of up to 23% and was developed in collaboration with biomechanics experts from the MIT Sports Laboratory and the University of Calgary.
The new model, 4D FWD, was developed through the collection, analysis and research of data from trainers and runners from all over the world for 18 years, in collaboration with the 3D printer company, Carbon, which led to the creation of the unique crochet sole shape.
The resulting sole, after five million different variations, is more precise, adapted to the exercisers, has a spring-like shape that makes the movement precise and allows exercisers and runners to exhaust their movement with every step.
The unique print form of the shoe - the "knitting" - was chosen from among 5 million different options of different "knitting" forms. The sole is made of 39% natural materials and the shape of the knitted sole in the shape of a bow allows maximum forward movement and prevents vertical impacts and is designed to transform the energy of Run for continuous forward motion.
In various tests in laboratory and outdoor conditions, it was found that the 4D FWD model produces 3 times more forward movements than normal running shoes, this with the help of the unique spring-like sole, which allows freer movement and pushes forward.
As a result, the load that the foot exerts on the shoe decreases by about 15%.
