Ice hockey state league club EV Moosburg has committed two Canadians with Cedrick Chagnon and Jeremy Laframboise.
They've already scored plus points with the trainer.
Moosburg
– EV Moosburg presented two newcomers on Wednesday: The young Canadians Cedrick Chagnon and Jeremy Laframboise will fill the contingent positions at the national ice hockey league in the 2022/23 season.
"I wanted players who didn't play for their own points, but also put themselves at the service of the team.
On Tuesday, Jeremy and Cedrick were there in training despite jet lag - and I saw things in both of them that I really like as a coach," emphasizes EVM coach Benoit Doucet.
Seasons in France and Sweden
Cedrick Chagnon comes from Napierville (Quebec) and was active in the junior age in the Canadian Hockey League.
In the 2019/20 season he moved to Morzine-Avoriaz in the fourth French division.
In 2021/22 he wore the shirt of Trelleborgs IF in the Swedish fourth division.
The winger's great role model is Jonathan Drouin of the Montreal Canadians.
The 23-year-old also likes to play soccer.
As the youngest of three brothers, his father put him on ice skates at the age of three and introduced him to ice hockey.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
The two not only look at their points account
The situation is similar for Jeremy Laframboise, who discovered his passion for ice hockey at the age of five in Sainte-Catherine (Quebec).
The 22-year-old center, whose role model is Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks, played in the Canadian Hockey League as a youth player, where he had been a teammate for Cedrick for a year in 2015/16 at Charles-Lemoyne Riverains College.
In the last Ice Age, Laframboise played for Roanne in the fourth French division.
The two Canadians have a mutual friend who was already active in Germany and advised them to get involved in Moosburg.
Jeremy and Cedrick are very happy to be with EVM, have had a good first impression of the team and want to help win games in the new season.
The two contingent players live in Moosburg and work during the week for sponsors of the green and yellow.
Chagnon wears the number 19 shirt at EVM and Laframboise will line up with the 15.
