The police custody of the three men in their twenties questioned in the investigation into the attack last November on the PSG player Kheira Hamraoui has been extended, AFP learned Thursday from a source familiar with the matter.
Arrested "
at their home
" on Wednesday morning, they were still in police custody at the Versailles judicial police premises on Thursday morning, according to a source familiar with the matter.
Their hearings can last until Friday morning.
All three, of whom "
at least one of them has a criminal record
", are suspected of having participated "
directly
" in the attack on Kheira Hamraoui in November 2021 in Chatou, near Paris, according to this source. .
One of them was arrested in Yerres (Essonne), the other two in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (Val-de-Marne).
These police custody are part of the judicial investigation opened on November 15, 2021 in Versailles against X for "
criminal association
" and "
aggravated violence
".
On November 4, 2021, Kheira Hamraoui was attacked with iron bars by two men, in front of one of her PSG teammates, Aminata Diallo, as they returned from a dinner with their team.
The hypothesis of a rivalry between the two Paris Saint-Germain players, who play in the same midfield position, was initially considered.
Aminata Diallo and one of her friends, imprisoned in Lyon (center-east), had been placed in police custody but no charge had ultimately been brought against them.
Aminata Diallo has always strongly contested being involved.
At this stage of police custody, the three suspects have no established link with this player, another source familiar with the matter told AFP.
In June, Kheira Hamraoui, 32, expressed her concern since this "
incredibly violent assault
" which disrupted her 2021-2022 season and that in progress.
Under contract until June 2023, she has been kept out of the professional group since the start of the season, which she had noted by a bailiff during training last week.
His assault sparked many comments, especially on social networks.
In February, Kheira Hamraoui filed a complaint for "
defamation, public insult, threats and invasion of privacy
with the Paris prosecutor's office against an influencer and an independent journalist.
