In the capital they expressed satisfaction with winning the Eilat tournament and concluded a successful preparatory tournament without losses: "There were good moments for him, we will continue to work hard"

Hapoel Jerusalem ended the Eilat tournament with a sweet taste last night (Wednesday) with a 71:83 victory in the final against Hapoel Tel Aviv, which ended a successful week for the Reds from the capital and left their record clean of losses in the preparatory games, a week before the Winner's Cup.

The Reds noted positively the intensity shown by the players even though it was a preparatory game, which was reflected in the victory in the fight for the rebounds, and the number of assists (18) they provided.

"We had good moments in the game, we are happy with the victory, but this is a training game for us," said the team.

In Jerusalem, they marked the goal of integrating the Latvian forward Marks Mireis back into the flow of the team, after he missed the team's previous two preparatory games due to a minor rib injury.

"I'm happy that we were able to integrate Marks Meiris into the flow of the team, after a period when he didn't play with us due to a minor injury and was a bit out of his rhythm and fitness," noted Reds coach Aleksandar Džikić.

In the capital, they were happy to see the appearance of the new pair of foreigners, Cadin Carrington and Levi Randolph, who displayed a particularly high ability and combined for 44 points, took command in the minutes when the team needed points, and led their friends to victory in the tournament.

Despite the victory, the Jerusalemites were not overly excited and are looking ahead to the team's next goals.

"We had some good moments and less good moments, I am satisfied and we will continue to work and look forward. The important thing for us is that no one was injured in the preparation games and there were no significant problems. The medical team and our fitness coach did a wonderful job and prepared the players great."

The team will now return to Jerusalem and continue preparations for the season, when on Sunday they will meet Barak Pelag's Hapoel Galil Alyion for a celebratory preparatory game at the Malha Hall, as a final test of their tools before the quarter-finals of the Winner Cup.

Before that, the team will hold a festive season opening event for its fans this Friday, with the participation of the team owners and players.
