At the same time as the World Championships, the Russian Gymnastics Federation decided to hold its own competition, after it was not allowed to participate in the international events for the past few months.

At the same time as the World Championships in Sofia, the Russian Gymnastics Federation decided to hold its own competition in the last few days, after not being allowed to participate in the international events for the last few months.

However, if they had known the results in advance, it is not certain that they would have allowed their senior gymnasts to get on the surface - after the sisters Dina and Arina Avrina were injured.

Just unbelievable!

Arina took part in the qualifiers, but after the hoop exercise, she felt the pains increasing in her hip and had to withdraw from the competition.

Her sister Dina, the Olympic runner-up, came up with strong pains in her back - when it could be seen that she was having trouble getting up and even afterwards she was crying.

Dina said: "I approached coach Irina Alexandrovna and said that my back hurts a lot, what are we going to do?"

In the end she answered: "Let's try to perform."

When she received treatments and apparently she too will be forced to withdraw from the rest of the competition.

As I recall, just yesterday at the World Championships, the Israeli Daria Atmanov, the European champion, was injured just before the competition and she is suffering from a fracture in her foot, which will prevent her from training and competing for 6-8 weeks.
