Richie Mo'unga didn't miss much
The Crusaders opener delivered an excellent copy this Thursday during the victory over the wire against the Australian rival (37-39).
Almost perfect at the foot with only one miss (the final transformation, anecdotal), he also scored with a good run one of his team's four tries (52nd).
In the game, he showed himself clean and valuable.
Samisoni Taukei'aho was close to the hat-trick
The Blacks hooker (25) scored two tries, first at the very start of the match by collapsing in the corner in-goal after a good ball carried by his team (4th), then on a very beautiful solo race where he eliminated two opponents (41st).
He could even have scored a third if he hadn't dropped the ball in the in-goal just before the break (37').
Rob Valetini has been busy
With Andrew Kellaway, it is he who achieves the best match on the Wallabies side.
Very stirring in the first half, he was rewarded with a try after a good conquest in touch (26th).
The Australian 3rd center line was then very effective in the second half, constantly advancing on his offensive percussion and scraping precious balls in defense.
FLOPS
Captains didn't lead the way
It's not really their fault, as they were both substituted prematurely with injury, one to a calf, the other to the head, but Australia's James Slipper and New Zealand's Sam Cane didn't weren't much help to their team.
The Wallabies pillar had been penalized twice on the ground before his exit at half-time.
The 3rd line of the Blacks, who had already had to give up his place quite early during the defeat in Argentina at the end of August, did not have time today to extinguish the fire of criticism.
Australia have been too unruly
The Wallabies were penalized a lot in this game.
Sanctioned by no less than three yellow cards, they conceded many points at the start of the second half when they were outnumbered.
A final fault, that of Foley who took too long to type a dismissal according to the referee (sanctioned by a scrum five meters from his posts), even cost them the victory on the gong.
Bernard Foley went from hero to loser
He, who was living his first match for the national team in three years, experienced the roller coaster.
Author of a 100% kick and decisive on several tries for his team, Bernard Foley has long assumed the status of opener that Dave Rennie no longer thought he would find, before experiencing a tragic end to the match.
The referee sanctioned him for taking too long to hit a dismissal in his 22 meters.
The Blacks scored the winning try thanks to the scrum obtained.
Cruel.
