The German national basketball team has been eliminated from the home European Championship.
In the semifinals in Berlin, the Germans lost 91:96 (51:46) against world champions Spain.
The best thrower was Captain Dennis Schröder with 30 points, while Lorenzo Brown (29 points) was the most successful for the Spaniards.
For Spain it is the fifth final participation in the last seven European championships, for the eleventh time in a row the Spaniards were in the last four.
Germany, on the other hand, would have been in a final of a major international tournament for the first time since 2005.
In the final on Sunday evening (8.30 p.m., Stream: Magentasport) Spain will meet France, who had beaten Poland earlier in the evening with a clear victory.
