Maccabi Tel Aviv fans in a show of support for Eran Zahavi (surfer photo)
Eran Zahavi today (Friday) is enjoying a show of support from dozens of fans after the room affair with the Israeli national team.
The Maccabi Tel Aviv star arrived this morning at the event of the Maccabi Tel Aviv Foundation and the fan organization "Brothers of the Symbol" at the Bloomfield Stadium, and was greeted with warm cheers from the crowd that came to the place.
Among other things, the fans sang Zahabi's player's song and even sang hate songs against Yossi Benyon, the professional manager of the Israeli national team, and whoever was seen as responsible for the fact that Zahabi might retire from the Israeli national team earlier than expected.
Zahavi was seen smiling when he arrived at the venue, rubbed shoulders with the fans and took pictures with them.
Tomorrow (Saturday, 20:30) Zahavi is expected to start in the yellow team against Beitar Jerusalem, and will hope to forget the storm with at least one goal in the net.

In general, it was a morning of blessed activity at Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The team's players arrived at Bloomfield Stadium to participate in packing 2,000 food packages for Rosh Hashanah, which were donated by the team's fans in the last month.
As every year, the Maccabi Tel Aviv Foundation works in cooperation with the "Brothers of the Symbol" organization to collect donations for the benefit of needy families, and towards Rosh Hashanah, a record of donations totaling NIS 500,000 was broken.
This year the entire event was dedicated to the memory of Maccabi Tel Aviv fan Khalil Kimchi, who was killed in the sinkhole disaster in Carmi Yosef a few months ago.
Besides Zahavi, Gabi Kanikovsky, Dor Peretz and Daniel Peretz also came as representatives on behalf of the players to help pack the food and were warmly received by the team's fans.
