The SpVgg Kammerberg footballers are aiming for their third win in a row.
They haven't managed to do that this season.
But the chances are good.
Kammerberg
– The footballers of SpVgg Kammerberg can attack the top third of the table in the north district league on this matchday.
For this, the bottom of the table on Saturday (kick-off: 1 p.m.) needs a win against bottom team VSST Günzlhofen.
The third three in a row would be a season premiere.
Broad-chested Koston team
Consistency at a high level is not yet the concern of the game association in the current round.
If coach Matthias Koston's team can rely on one thing, it's that two wins alternate with two losses.
It's been like this since the start of the season.
According to the law of the series, a defeat would be on the ninth day of the game.
But Koston doesn't want to think about that: "After two wins we should be so self-confident that we'll win at home against a promoted team." Especially when this promoted team is at the bottom of the table.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
However, it would be a mistake to underestimate Günzlhofen.
On the one hand, because the VSST defeated SVN Munich 5:3 in their only win of the season to date.
On the other hand, because the opponent definitely has qualities.
“They are attacking and well positioned in the centre.
I rate them similarly to Untermenzing last weekend,” says Koston.
In that 3-2 away win in Untermenzing, Kammerberger had to stretch and tremble before Damjan Knetemann redeemed SpVgg with his winning goal in the 89th minute.
Jump to fifth place possible
Koston demands a dedicated performance from his team.
"The boys have trained well.
But practice doesn't win you games.
The decisive factor is that they call up their potential at the weekend,” emphasizes the coach.
If the game association succeeds, they can jump up to fifth place in the table.
Marcel Truntschka, one of the goalscorers in Untermenzing, is questionable.
But all other players are ready - and want to celebrate the third win in a row.
