Thanks in part to the accuracy of exceptional striker Erling Haaland, Manchester City celebrated their third win in a row and remain unbeaten in the Premier League.
The English football champions won 3-0 (2-0) at the decimated Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday and took the lead in the table, at least temporarily.
After the English national player Jack Grealish had scored to make it 1-0 in the first minute, Haaland increased it to 2-0 in the 16th minute.
It was the eleventh goal in the seventh Premier League game for the former Borussia Dortmund striker.
According to sports data provider Opta, it was the Norwegian's 100th goal in his 99 competitive games since leaving Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020, and Haaland also became the first player to score in each of his first Premier League away games league record.
Phil Foden (69th) made the final score.
The hosts were short-handed for almost an hour after Nathan Collins (33') saw a red card for a kung fu kick against Grealish.
Former Stuttgart striker Saša Kalajdžić, who has been out for a long time after a cruciate ligament rupture, was also absent from Wolverhampton.
At City, national player Ilkay Gündogan was initially on the bench and came on in the 72nd minute for the strong ex-Bundesliga professional Kevin De Bruyne.
City could have to give up the lead in the table as early as tomorrow Sunday, with previous leaders Arsenal playing (3 p.m. / Sky) at FC Brentford.
