A bizarre story was recently revealed on the Serbian website "Mundo" about basketball player Miroslav Radolica.
It turns out that the 34-year-old center had the opportunity to return to play in the Euroleague after five seasons in Asia, but he refused it for an unusual reason at all, to fulfill a childhood dream.
Radulica, a former Panathinaikos and Olympia Milan player, who won silver medals during his career with the Serbian team in EuroBasket, the World Championship and the Olympic Games, refused an offer from Red Star Belgrade to accompany the Serbian group band Yu Grupa, which will go on tour in the United States in the coming months.
To be precise, Radolica will not be part of the band of musicians, but will serve as the driver of the band's van, which will travel from Chicago to Los Angeles on the famous Route 66.
The guitarist told the media in Serbia: "He traveled at the end of September with several other friends, among them the basketball player Miroslav Radulica, who will bear the special responsibility of driving a large trailer. As a child he dreamed of driving a truck, so his dream will be partially fulfilled."
Radolica has not played in the Euroleague since the 2016/17 season, when the year before that he recorded his record season in the European factory, with an average of 12.7 points per game for Panathinaikos.
In addition, he made 53 appearances in the NBA, five of them in Minnesota and the rest in Milwaukee.
