A very impressive achievement.
Israel's Olympic triathlete Shahar Shagiv won the silver medal tonight (between Saturday and Sunday) in the special triathlon competition as part of the Super League in Malibu, USA.
The competition was held using the filtering method: three rounds of swimming (300 meters), cycling (4 km) and running (1.6 km) with a four-minute rest between the rounds, when at the end of each round the last three were eliminated.

Shagiv, Lior Cohen's apprentice, felt great, controlled the pace at the front during the entire competition.
and also finished the first and second rounds in second place.
The gold medal was won by the New Zealander Aidan Wild, bronze medalist from Tokyo 2020 and the bronze medal was won by Vasco Villacha from Portugal.
After tonight's competition, his team rose to fifth place in the overall team ranking.
After the competition Shahar Shagiv said: "I am happy. Today I brought all my abilities to light. Everything I worked on in the last year came together perfectly and I am happy that I was able to do this in such a prestigious competition."
Shagiv, will return in two days to Israel and in about two weeks will go to the fourth competition within this league that will be held in Toulouse, in France.
