SC Freiburg goes into the two-week Bundesliga break with a draw.
After the 0-0 draw in Baden at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Freiburg has now gone seven games without defeat in all competitions and is third in the table behind 1. FC Union Berlin and Borussia Dortmund.
However, at the end of the seventh day of the game, Freiburg failed to overtake Borussia Dortmund after BVB beat Schalke 1-0 in the derby.
Coach Christian Streich's team also missed their fourth away win this season - just like Hoffenheim's fourth home win.
TSG is fourth.
Hoffenheim keeper Oliver Baumann was able to achieve an impressive mark: It was the 400th Bundesliga game for the 32-year-old – among the current players only Bayern pros Manuel Neuer (472) and Thomas Müller (421) have more Bundesliga appearances .
In the end, Baumann kept a clean sheet for the 100th time.
A check by Günter against the Austrian international caused a stir early in the second half, but only resulted in a yellow card for the SC captain.
