VfL Denklingen doesn't really get going in the district league: In the home game against Penzberg there was a defeat that coach Ansorge described as "deserved".

Denklingen – The softly indicated upward trend at VfL Denklingen is already over.

In the home game against FC Penzberg, coach Markus Ansorge's district football team lost out 3-1.

"The defeat is deserved.

Penzberg was quicker to act in many situations,” admitted Ansorge, disappointed.

Admittedly, his opponent was in a better mood.

"It wasn't an easy game, but we were well adjusted to our opponents and played it down relatively confidently in the second half," said FCP coach Simon Ollert.

"Our plan was to put pressure on right away and the boys did a good job of that."

And how: Penzberg took the lead after just 80 seconds.

Before the home side knew it, Sabir Neziri, who was new to the starting XI, served the free-standing Gabriel Taffertshofer, who shot in from 16 meters to make it 1-0.

The goal gave the guests a boost, while VfL, who were still heavily weakened by replacements, were completely unsettled.

A solid pound from Penzberg's center forward Franz Huber (5th) from the edge of the penalty area fended off Denklingen goalkeeper Manuel Seifert with a strong save.

A little later, Seifert put his fingertips to a shot by Denny Krämer (11th).

"We weren't in the game at all," admitted Ansorge.

VfL managed to equalize more or less out of nowhere.

The FCP could not clear a free kick from Stephan Schilcher, so that Hannes Rambach (18th) scored the 1:1 in the follow-up.

The guests, on the other hand, lost the thread.

Negligence in the FCP defense almost punished Andreas Schiessl (25th) a little later.

But his shot from close range went over the target.

More chances followed before FCP freed themselves from the pressure of the home side.

Immediately before the half-time whistle, Sabir Neziri gave Denklingen's keeper Seifert no chance to defend himself at 2-1.

"The goal came at the psychologically right time," said Ollert.

The second half started quite lively with a Rambach chance (49') for Denklingen and a long-range shot from Panholzer (52').

After that, the game flattened out.

VfL tried hard.

"But the actions were not played out cleanly," criticized Ansorge.

The Penzberger didn't have much trouble managing their leadership.

FCP also coped well with the injury-related absences, first from Denis Grgic and then from Neziri.

"The substitutes found their feet straight away," judged Ollert, whose team made everything clear shortly before the end of a set piece.

A corner kick from Panholzer landed after a header extension at Tobias Ollert (86th), who netted to make it 3-1.
