In the last four years, the use of VAR, which officially began with the opening of the 2018 World Cup, has already become commonplace almost all over the world, at least in the top leagues in each country, but the technology has not yet arrived for the lower and amateur leagues and it is doubtful that it will arrive soon - and in Serbia they found a very surprising, creative and perhaps even precedent-setting solution If you will, to use technology.
The viral video comes from one of the lower leagues in Serbia, where the referee of the match changed his mind and allowed a goal that he himself initially disallowed, after being called by the fans to watch the event on one of their mobile phones.

This is a rather amusing video, from an event that takes place a few seconds after the referee disallows a goal on the grounds of a difference.
This is a match in one of the lower leagues in Serbia and as you can see in the video that quickly spread like wildfire, the referee approaches the stand and gets to see the disallowed goal on the mobile device of one of the fans.
The referee not only watched the event along with the fans, but took the mobile phone with him, moved away from the stands to watch the action without being disturbed and distracted and eventually confirmed the goal.
From the stands you can hear the fans on the field shouting "VAR" and joking among themselves that the referee recruited his own screen referees.
There is great doubt whether the regulations of that lower league in Serbia allow the referee to reverse a decision based on watching the event on a mobile phone and another of one of the fans, VAR of course does not exist in that league, but it can be assumed that this is an event that can still set a precedent - at least in the lower leagues and certainly among the amateurs around the world.
