After four days of competition in Al-Jalaa Sports Hall in Damascus, the curtain came down on the 13th Arab Kickboxing Championship. Iraq came to the top of the overall standings, and Syria came in second, while Jordan came in third.
In the details, the results of the tournament, which witnessed the participation of 11 Arab teams, resulted in the Iraqi team taking first place after winning 17 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze medals.
The Syrian team came in second place with 16 gold, 17 silver and 14 bronze medals, while Jordan ranked third with 7 gold, 11 silver and 18 bronze, noting that the tournament competitions included three methods: full contact, semi contact, cake lite and the “K1” method.
Secretary-General of the Arab Kickboxing Federation, Wasfi Al-Shawabkeh, said in a statement to SANA that the tournament was characterized by wide participation and its competitions were characterized by strength and excitement.
The head of the Syrian Kickboxing Federation Manar Al-Bazra pointed out that the tournament contributed to increasing the experience of the players, especially in light of the lack of external camps, which would provide the opportunities for friction required to develop the skill level, noting the large public attendance that accompanied the tournament competitions and the great efforts made to make this Arab sporting event a success. .
Amid an atmosphere of enthusiasm and encouragement from the kickboxing fans, the winners were crowned first places at the end of the competitions. .
