FC Bayern Munich: President Herbert Hainer stands behind coach Julian Nagelsmann

After four Bundesliga games without a win, FC Bayern was already in a hangover mood before visiting the Oktoberfest. Despite the crisis, coach Julian Nagelsmann should not be up for discussion – a dismissal would probably be expensive.

Despite the 1-0 defeat in Augsburg and four Bundesliga games in a row without a win, President Herbert Hainer has backed coach Julian Nagelsmann at FC Bayern Munich.

»We are completely convinced of Julian Nagelsmann and our entire team.

After the international break, we'll start attacking like we know it from Bayern Munich.

The season has only just begun and we know that we have the potential to achieve our big goals,” Hainer told the newspapers “Münchner Merkur” and “tz”.

“Four Bundesliga games without a win at FC Bayern are of course not what our fans and we all imagine.

However, we also see the multitude of goal chances that our team creates in every match and that are not currently reflected in our results," said Hainer.

The chairman of the supervisory board, Oliver Kahn, said on Sunday that the club “does not deal with any other coaches”.

"We are totally convinced of Julian," said the former national goalkeeper when the German record champions visited the Oktoberfest.

A dismissal of Julian Nagelsmann would not be easy anyway.

Bayern brought the coach from Leipzig for a high fee before last season and gave him a five-year contract.

According to a report by »Bild«, a premature end of the contract would cost the club dearly.

There is only a fixed severance payment after the second year of the contract.

According to the report, this is freely negotiable within the first two years – and presumably expensive.

Nagelsmann is still in the middle of his second year of contract.

The results are only correct in Europe

Nagelsmann himself said after the Augsburg game, visibly pissed off: “A lot has to change.

I'll think about it and then we'll see how it goes.

I think about everything.

About me, about situations, about everything.«

The Munich team are on target in the Champions League with two wins, but after the 0-1 draw at FC Augsburg they are only five points behind leaders 1. FC Union Berlin in the Bundesliga.

Bayern have not had four games without a win in the Bundesliga for around 20 years.

After the international break, the Bundesliga continues with a home game against Bayer Leverkusen.

This is followed by the league summit at Borussia Dortmund and a home game against SC Freiburg.
