The Executive Office of the General Sports Federation honored the Syrian youth football team and its technical and administrative staff after qualifying for the Asian Cup finals scheduled in Uzbekistan next year.

In a statement to SANA, the President of the Football Association, Salah Ramadan, said: "The qualification of our team came well-deserved and after a remarkable performance by the players in the qualifiers. This qualification comes after many years in which our young team was unable to reach the Asian finals."

Ramadan indicated that the federation will work to provide the necessary success requirements for the team in the next stage in coordination with the coach and in line with the preparation plan that he will set, indicating at the same time that the strategy that the federation is working on aims to prepare the junior and youth teams to be the core of the men’s team in the coming years.
