Israel's artistic gymnastics team returned today (Monday) from the World Championships in Sofia, from which they came away with the greatest achievement in the discipline - the silver medal in the all-around competition.
In doing so, the gymnasts achieved the criterion for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024. They also added silver in the hoops exercise final.
A warm welcome awaited the girls of the team, which includes Diana Svartsov, Ofir Shaham, Romi Pritsky, Shani Beknov and Hadar Friedman, when the girls of their association were equipped with balloons, signs and chocolates, and in addition, the members of the happy families were also waiting.

The captain Pritzky said: "It's really exciting. We managed to overcome a lot of obstacles and difficulties in recent times - we are happy and speechless. Now we are just starting the hard work. Coach Ayelet Sussman added: "The competition started with very great difficulties, with Daria Atmanov's leg that could not compete, but all the focus was on my team. The girls gave everything they could and obtained the Olympic ticket, which was the goal. And also Adi Katz who made an amazing achievement."

"I can't call it peace of mind. The point was to secure a place in the Olympics so that we could work and exchange exercises more orderly and without pressure. There are other competitions where we will have to show our abilities, when everyone wants to continue to be at the top of the world."

Daria Atmanov, the European champion who was injured just before the start of the championship, concluded: "Now I feel better, my leg is also in a better condition. It happened in training before the competition, I made a jump that was not successful and it happened.
