After many months of anticipation and an intriguing summer, Israeli basketball returns tonight (Monday) and with it the traditional Winner Cup tournament, which will be held for the 17th year in a row.

The opening game of the tournament will bring together Danny Franco's renewed Hapoel Tel Aviv, who will host newcomer Kiryat Ata in the Shlomo Group Hall, for the first game in the round of 16 of the tournament.

Just before the start of the league - tomorrow we will fill the hall in the eighth round of the Winner Cup, against Kiryat Ata.



Five foreigners are allowed to register in the Winner Cup without penalty and Jacob Brown, Xavier Manford, JP Tokoto, Jaylen Hurd and Chris Horton were registered in the team's squad for the game.



James Young, who was injured in the practice match in Eilat, will not be in the squad.

The official preseason tournament of the Winner Basket League was held for the 17th year in a row.

Four years ago, the Round of 16 was added to the factory and this year all Winner Basket League teams will participate in it, except for Hapoel Haifa who will take part in the Eurocup qualifiers at the same time.
