The Buffalo Bills' win over the Tennessee Titans in the NFL was overshadowed by a serious injury on Monday night.
Bills cornerback Dane Jackson was affected.
The 25-year-old had just brought down an opposing player when team-mate Tremaine Edmunds tried to come to his rescue.
Instead of helping, however, Edmunds collided with Jackson, whose head was overextended and pushed back.
Jackson was subsequently carried off the field and subsequently examined at the hospital.
"He can move his arms and legs completely, which is good, but we're still waiting for further updates," said coach Sean McDermott, who saw his player in the ambulance before being transported to a clinic: "We send all our prayers to him .« A CT scan should provide further insights.
The injury didn't change the sovereign performance of the championship favorites against the Tennessee Titans.
The Bills ultimately prevailed 31:10.
Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen played well again, throwing for four touchdowns and 317 yards, three times he found Stefon Diggs.
"We know he's one of the strongest receivers in the sport right now, if not the strongest," Allen later said of Diggs.
Eagles beat disappointing Vikings
In the second game of the evening, the Philadelphia Eagles won their home game against the Minnesota Vikings 24:7.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts was man of the game with three total touchdowns.
He got two himself, and made Quez Watkins' one possible with a pass.
In all, he threw for 333 yards.
The Eagles are one of just six teams in the NFL who are undefeated after two games.
Already on Sunday there was a serious injury in the NFL.
Young quarterback Trey Lance, 22, broke his ankle and will be absent from the San Francisco 49ers for the remainder of the season.
