With a somewhat surprising 29:18 win against SV Mietraching 2, the St. Wolfgang wrestlers started the team season of the Upper Group League East.

St. Wolfgang - Despite the severely thinned staff, the TSV fighters won eight of the 14 matches, mostly with full points and kept the defeat points within limits with good fighting commitment.

All in all, a very promising start after difficult preparation that deserved more spectators.

TSV trainer Ludwig Attenberger was only able to muster six active players, since in addition to the long-term absences Andreas Drobny and Mori Dawoodi, Georg Scheffler and Mischa Flurer were also not available for vacation or work reasons.

The 17-year-old Schöder twins made their debut in the men's team, contributing valuable points and making success possible.

After the first seven encounters, the wrestlers were already leading 16:9 points against the Deggendorfer Bayernliga-Reserve and were therefore almost certain of the overall victory.

The points went to Adrian Schöder with a shoulder win up to 61 kg, Milad Karimi despite a weight disadvantage with fine technique up to 75 kg, Kevin Schöder with a shoulder win after a head pull up to 98 kg and Thomas Kaczmarek up to 130 kg, who won without a fight due to lack of opponents.

The guests scored up to 57 kg without a fight, since St. Wolfgang was vacant here.

After an exciting fight, the 66 kg class also went to Michael Hatzinger, who defeated St. Wolfgang's Tawfiq Noori with 6:1 points.

Up to 86 kg, Kevin Kästle lost 0:9 points against Christian Graf with a large weight disadvantage, but only lost three team points to the guests.

Even after the break and the change of style in all weight classes, four individual victories went to the hosts again.

Adrian Schöder (61 kg) won the freestyle technically superior with 16:0 points.

Noori retaliated against 66kg Greek for the freestyle loss and turned the fight against Hatzinger in his favor in the last minute with a score of 9:8, but was on the brink of a shoulder loss twice before that against the second-division-experienced judoka.

Up to 75 kg freestyle Milad Karimi shouldered Dennis Braun before the break with his own 14:0 lead, and in the heavyweight division Kaczmarek brought the points back to St. Wolfgang without a fight.

The 57 kg class, on the other hand, went to the guests again without a fight, and Kästle also clearly lost up to 86 kg Greek against Markus Schmidt.

In the coming week, St. Wolfgang's fighters will have no fight due to the withdrawal of TSV Trostberg and can already prepare for the duel with league favorite TV Traunstein, who won his opening fight as expected and will be a guest in the Goldachhalle on October 1st.
