“Not what we imagine”: Hainer comments on the Bayern crisis – a sentence about Nagelsmann reverberates

FC Bayern is in crisis - President Herbert Hainer is convinced that Julian Nagelsmann will recover after the international break.

Munich - Herbert Hainer was not photographed in the photo that made the rounds from Käfer's Wiesn-Schänke on Sunday afternoon.

The FC Bayern president skipped the team's traditional festival visit at short notice due to an important private appointment and therefore did not sit next to Hasan Salihamidzic, Julian Nagelsmann and Oliver Kahn, who were slightly tormented as they lifted the beer mugs.

But that doesn't change the fact that his mood is the same: the crisis is annoying, but you can't be dissuaded from the path you've taken despite fifth place in the table.

The coach is not up for discussion – everyone agrees on that.

"Four Bundesliga games without a win at Bayern are of course not what our fans and all of us imagine," Hainer told

on Monday .

The fact that the series champions have been lagging behind their claims for weeks has not changed, even with a three-day gap to the 0-1 draw in Augsburg.

Still, the waning anger at the fourth straight game without a win allows for a clearer view of what happened.

Salihamidzic looked shocked in the stands in Augsburg, Kahn had raged and later announced 14 days of analysis and talks for the international break.

But the view is no longer only critical.

You want to try to build on the positive findings.

"We are completely convinced of Julian Nagelsmann"

"We see the multitude of goal chances that our team creates in every match and that are currently not reflected in our results," says Hainer.

The statistics prove the 68-year-old right: Before the 0-1 draw in Augsburg, Bayern had scored at least once in 87 league games.

From the last four games there is also a shot on goal record of 92:30 - which of course does not match the result of four goals and three points.

Nagelsmann's team has not yet found an adequate remedy against teams that play physically and defend passionately.

Nevertheless, Hainer adds a sentence that resonates: "We are completely convinced of Julian Nagelsmann and our entire team."

You want to deliberately nip a coaching debate in the bud, and it doesn't currently play a role internally either.

The fact that Thomas Tuchel is on the market is a nice side note, but nothing more.

Nagelsmann - tied until 2026 - has come to stay.

The 35-year-old has the backing of the bosses to overcome this crisis and possibly emerge from it stronger.

Hainer: "After the international break we will attack again"

Hainer is certain: "After the international break, we will attack again, just like we know it from Bayern Munich." And the president is far from letting go of the high standards with which the club started in its second year under Nagelsmann.

"The season," he says, "has just started and we know we have the potential to achieve our big goals."

In the next two games against Viktoria Pilsen in the Champions League, a place in the round of 16 can be made clear, in the league they want to start catching up with Bayer Leverkusen on September 30th.

And in the cup, well… you have to play again at FC Augsburg on October 19th.

That until then more than a month will pass: quite good!

Despite the crisis at FC Bayern Munich, record national player Lothar Matthäus firmly believes that Julian Nagelsmann will "turn things around".
