FC Bayern Munich is planning another winter training camp in Qatar for the beginning of January.
Coach Julian Nagelsmann's team is to prepare in Doha for the second part of the Bundesliga season, which begins again after the World Cup break for Munich on January 20 with an away game at RB Leipzig.
The "Sport Bild" reported about it first.
The planning status coincides with dpa information.
In the past two years, the training camp had been canceled due to the corona pandemic.
The German soccer record champion has been holding training camps in Qatar since 2011, where the training conditions in winter are an important argument for the club.
The business relationship with Qatar is a hot topic in the club's fan scene because of the heavily criticized human rights situation in the host country of the 2022 World Cup and the working conditions on the World Cup construction sites.
FC Bayern recently announced that after the World Cup at the end of the year it would decide on the controversial sponsorship with Qatar Airways.
The sponsorship, which is lucrative for the association, caused a dispute at the general meeting in autumn 2021 and ultimately chaos.
At the beginning of July, FC Bayern invited to a round table on the controversial issue.
According to CEO Oliver Kahn at the time, the aim of the event was to show »that you can sit down at a table, regardless of different opinions and attitudes, meet, listen and exchange ideas.«
