General manager Tommy Shepherd even came to watch Avdia in Prague, and was mainly impressed by the excellent game he demonstrated against Lauri Markkanen, one of the stars of the tournament.

"I watched Danny in the game against Finland, and it was an important moment in his career. He led Israel to a great victory and scored the basket that forced overtime. Maybe it won't be his role for us and maybe he won't get that shot at the end of the game, but in any case we'll know he can score The same.
