In Washington they hint: we will not release Avdia to the Israeli national team every summer
Anseld Jr. and Shepard were impressed by the performance at EuroBasket, but know: "We will have to share him with Israel wisely. The daily work with him is important to us."

Tiktuknu: Summary of the day in sports, 21.9 (Sport1)
After a busy and challenging summer, Danny Avdia returned to the United States for the start of his third season in the NBA.
Washington closely followed his performance in the uniform of the Israeli national team at the European Championship, and admits that she was very impressed.
Avdia opened the tournament with a bang with two consecutive double-doubles and finished as the team's leading scorer with 14.6 points per game.
He also led the team in rebounds (8.2), assists (4.6), blocks (1.2, 5th in the championship) and turnovers (2.8, 10th in the championship).
Avdia also finished 15th in the efficiency index per game.
"I watched the games and talked to Danny during the championship. He had a leadership role on this team and he did it well," coach Wes Anseld Jr. complimented.
"He had ups and downs, but this will teach him a lot. He learned things there that you can't learn in training. He got very significant minutes. This is a great start to the season for him."
General manager Tommy Shepherd even came to watch Avdia in Prague, and was mainly impressed by the excellent game he demonstrated against Lauri Markkanen, one of the stars of the tournament.
"I watched Danny in the game against Finland, and it was an important moment in his career. He led Israel to a great victory and scored the basket that forced overtime. Maybe it won't be his role for us and maybe he won't get that shot at the end of the game, but in any case we'll know he can score The same. In the European Championship there is pressure like in the NBA playoffs, and he showed that he can withstand it."
Washington also learned a thing or two from the ability he displayed.

At the same time, Shepard is well aware of the future dilemmas that await him around losing Abdia in the team.
"There are very high expectations from his generation, which won two gold medals at the European Under-20 Championship. Israel continues to climb the rankings of European basketball, so it is possible that every summer there will be some kind of tournament. We will have to work in coordination with the Israeli national team, to make sure that we share Danny in a smart way. Obviously working with Danny on a daily basis is very important to us, but we encourage all our players to play for their national teams. The experience Danny got has given him a lot of confidence. Now he has more 'swag', and the players respect and love that. Danny is very relaxed with the ball, very comfortable As a playmaker. He likes to pass, and players like to play with players who like to pass."
