Altenerding – Things are going extremely well at SpVgg Altenerding.

The number of members has reached a record level of over 2800, and the finances are also right at the moment.

No wonder, then, that the previous board of directors in the delegates' meeting in the new elections received unanimous results without exception and that there were hardly any changes.

Before the elections, Chairman Reinhold Kunz presented his report to the 43 delegates and some guests of honor.

Last winter, the problems with the SpVgg Semptsporthalle brought many hours of work.

"We had actually already packed our bags for the return from the Gerd-Vogt-Halle when the new ventilation and the roof outsmarted us," he said.

The renovation of the Semptsporthalle therefore took much longer: "Thanks to the cooperation with the TSV and the support of the city, we luckily got enough time in other halls."

About the football and tennis department, Kunz said that major investments are planned here.

When it comes to tennis, the aging clubhouse is due to be renovated, and two new courts may be added: "There are already talks with the city about this."

Thanks to the positive developments among footballers in the women's division - four girls' teams have been registered for this season - more changing rooms and showers are urgently needed: "But it's difficult to find a place for them.

The planning is still in its infancy.”

With a view to Mayor Max Gotz, who was present, Kunz reiterated that the club naturally understands that savings have to be made in view of the current energy crisis: "But the fact that we have to send guest teams home without a shower or a cold shower hurts despite all understanding."

Treasurer Wolf Ferlisch's report followed.

The club was able to record a whopping plus of around 148,000 euros last year.

"This would have been even higher if we hadn't increased our reserves to 130,000 euros," he remarked.

Overall, the SpVgg has a credit balance of 832,000 euros, of which around 480,000 euros are in the bank account.

Ferlisch's conclusion: "Financially we are in a very good position."

The department heads then gave a brief insight into what was happening in their sports.

The first football team, for example, has also established itself well in the district class after promotion and there has been a strong increase in membership despite Corona.

With 800 members, including over 400 young people, gymnastics and dance is still the largest department.

The big problem there is that the children's groups are currently overcrowded and there is a lack of trainers.

Therefore, a day of volunteering is planned to find new people to take part.

The tennis department is also thriving: 81 new members joined and the handball players are also at a high level.

In view of the almost exclusively positive reports, Mayor Gotz praised: "You can be proud of yourself and your board of directors is excellent." When dealing with each other, fair play prevails, and Gotz promised: "Despite falling trade tax revenue, we will continue to promote sport, wherever it is possible for us.”
