Tiktuknu: Summary of the day in sports, 21.9 (Sport1)
It is doubtful whether even in his wildest dreams, Lorenzo Braun fantasized about such a successful Eurobasket.
On the eve of the opening of the tournament, there were still many voices of criticism in Spain for his inclusion in the national team, but at the end - after he led Spain to win the gold - only praises were heard.
Maccabi Tel Aviv's new coordinator finished an exceptional championship with averages of 15.2 points and 7.6 assists per game, including 22.8 points and 8.3 assists in the knockout stage and 11 points and 10 assists in the finals (the first player since 1995 to record a double-double in a battle of the gold).
If so, it is not surprising that Brown was included in the list of the ten best signings of the summer, published on the "Eurohops" website.
Maccabi Tel Aviv's deal came in eighth place on the list: "He was one of the best players in the journey to the gold, and we had no choice but to put him in the top 10. After excelling in the Kazan uniform in the Euroleague last year, there is no doubt that his move is one of the biggest of the summer."
It should be noted that earlier this summer, Brown's move was not included in the initial list of "EuroHops" - the wonderful EuroBasket changed that.
With all due respect to Brown, first place was taken by Will Clyburn's intriguing move from CSKA Moscow to Anadolu Efes. The only two teams with two different moves on the list are Barcelona (who added Tomasz Storanski and Jan Vesli) and Fenerbahce (who added Nemanja Bejlica and Nik Kalathis ).
