Thomas Müller currently has to deal with a number of problems.

FC Bayern is in crisis and has been broken into.

Now it turns out that the perpetrators stole more than previously thought.

Munich – Thomas Müller is currently on a streak of bad luck: At Bayern, things are anything but smooth.

After the 1-0 defeat against FC Augsburg, Müller was stunned.

Then, during the Champions League game against FC Barcelona, the Müllers' villa was broken into.

Now it turned out that the damage is even greater than previously assumed.

Initially, there was talk of a loss of around 500,000 euros.

According to a report by

Bild

, there is now more detailed information about the thieves' loot: At least 17 watches were stolen by Müller during the break-in, including luxury Rolex watches.

Other valuables and cash were also stolen.

The police now assume that the damage is greater than previously assumed.

Thomas Müller robbed - the time of the crime is fixed

The burglary happened on the Bayern player's 33rd birthday.

The police can now pinpoint the time even more precisely: the time of the crime is said to have been 10 p.m.

The second half of FC Bayern's game against FC Barcelona had just begun and Thomas Müller was on the field in the Allianz Arena.

Müller's property is located in Wettlkam in the municipality of Otterfing south of Munich in the district of Miesbach.

The perpetrators are still on the run

When they broke in, the perpetrators set off a silent alarm.

A private security company then informed the police, who arrived at the Müllers' house 10 minutes later.

The perpetrators – there should have been at least two – fled on foot across a field.

The search for them is still ongoing.

Police spokesman Martin Emig from the Oberbayern Süd police headquarters told

Bild

: "Such crimes, in which unknown persons penetrate into the most private area, naturally unsettle the population's sense of security.

We are looking for the perpetrators at full speed.”

Thomas Müller is currently with the DFB in Frankfurt and is preparing for the upcoming international matches.

The German team will face Hungary in Leipzig on Friday and England three days later in London.

Then the last group games in the Nations League are done.

It remains to be hoped that things will be better for Müller from now on – and that he and the Bayern squad will find their way back to the euphoria of the grandiose Bundesliga start.
