France-Austria (2-0): Olivier Giroud is eternal

Hello there it is again!

Almost six months after his previous appearance in the France team, Olivier Giroud renews, this Thursday evening, the thread of his intimate history with the selection.

Called up in the list released on September 15, in the absence of injured Karim Benzema, the AC Milan striker has the opportunity to get closer to the record for goals with the Blues held by Thierry Henry (51 against 48) .

Since the Euro, he had only been called up in March 2022 against Côte d'Ivoire and South Africa, taking advantage, already at the time, of Benzema's unavailability.

He had, moreover, scored a goal in each of these matches.
