The affair between Leo Messi and Barcelona continues to branch out.
Yesterday it was revealed in Spain that an official notice was sent on behalf of the club in view of the leaking of the Argentinian's demands for the renewal of the contract in Barcelona, but at the same time the club did not deny the publication.
This morning (Thursday) El Mundo added more fuel to the fire, when they revealed a letter sent from the club to the Flea family from a person who identified himself as an associate of Rodrigo Messi, the brother of Leo who mediated between the club and Anso Fati.
According to the publications, the same Francesco D'Argenio demanded about 50 percent of Fati's contract renewal fees in 2019.
In response to the matter, the Catalan club warned of an extortion attempt and sent an angry letter to the Messi family in which they were furious that the same colleague was trying to blackmail the club.

The letter stated: "Recently Francesco D'Argenio demands and threatens the management of Barcelona that he will not sign contract extensions for several young players until his financial demands are met in full. We fear that the same party is involved in the Italian mafia. It was also stated that the club does not intend to take legal action against Messi, but they do not intend to tolerate the threats of the insider, and expect a sweeping apology.
In "El Mundo" they added that the same Dargenio was previously investigated on suspicion of drug trafficking and belonging to money laundering companies and was even arrested in the summer of 2017 as part of that investigation.
