The former England coach, currently coaching at Leinster, is in advanced contact with the Ile-de-France club to become one

Things are not yet recorded but they are becoming clearer.

Stuart Lancaster, the coach of Leinster, the Irish province finalist in the European Cup, is approaching Racing 92. According to The Irish Times, the Irish daily, the former coach of the XV of England from 2011 to 2015, is in very advanced contact with the Ile-de-France club.

A final videoconference would be scheduled between the two parties to finalize the agreement.

If this is the case, Racing 92 is preparing for serious changes.

Laurent Travers, the current manager would thus be appointed chairman of the management board (the owner Jacky Lorenzetti would become chairman of the supervisory board), even if he seemed to want to extend his lease a little further at the edge of the field.

The former hooker from Brive arrived in the Hauts-de-Seine in 2013 with Laurent Labit, with whom he formed a partnership in Montauban then in Castres where they were champions of France in 2013. They won the shield of Brennus with Ciel et Blanc in 2016.

The departure of Laurent Labit to join the staff of the XV of France during the summer of 2019 was a first shock.

Since then, the Ile-de-France club has struggled to validate its objectives.

Racing 92 has already recruited the performance director of the XV of France, Thibault Giroud, who will join the Sky and White after the 2023 World Cup.

Stuart Lancaster, the 52-year-old English technician is known for his skill but also for his ability to create support for his group.

The only downside to his picture, under his orders, the XV of the Rose had completely missed the World Cup in England in 2015 by being released from the pool matches.
