The coach of the national team, Alon Hazan, said before the match: "When one or another player is missing, we have substitutes. The crowd has no substitute. I am very proud that the stadium will be full. The goal is to play attractive and attacking football, aggressiveness does not scare me. I have full faith in the players who are here ".
"I have no doubt that the Albanian team will be a very strong opponent, despite its shortcomings. The Albanian team also knows that it is going to meet a team with a lot of ambition, a technical team that wants to go forward. We have fast and technical players, we want to reach the opponent's goal as quickly as possible. Generational change? We don't have an age threshold, it's the ability of the players that determines. The real and correct process is for the veteran players to forge the younger ones. I hope that this combination will give both the veterans and the youngsters what we're looking for."

Captain Beavers Natcho, who returned to the national team, told about the feelings and also referred to the Eran Zahavi saga: "Now the work will be more difficult - to keep the fans with us", he said about the large crowd that is expected to arrive.
"There is a coach and there is a professional manager, I spoke with Alon several times before this and as soon as he said these are the requirements, then these are the requirements. I know that Eran did not do things out of ego but out of habits, I hope that maybe in the future he will return to the national team, but there are those who determine and decide what will be."
