Denklingen weakened as a substitute for the BCF: "Certainly not a favourite"

The staff worries are not getting any smaller.

Once again, VfL Denklingen is severely weakened by replacements - and has an important game ahead of them at BCF Wolfratshausen.

Denklingen – Bonjour tristesse.

Actually, the current season at VfL Denklingen was imagined differently after the strong performance in the 2021/2022 season.

Although Markus Ansorge always insisted on the "secured midfield position" as a target in forecasts in advance.

Secretly, however, there were certainly mind games with a view to a top placement.

But now the reality is quite different.

If VfL is defeated by BCF Wolfratshausen (2 p.m., Isar-Loisach-Stadion) in the district league on Saturday, the Farcheters close the gap on points – and Denklingen enters the relegation battle.

Not a completely unrealistic scenario, Ansorge once again has to do without essential supports, whereas the Flößerstadt team can compete relatively fully, and in Haidhausen (2-0) they also showed a reaction to the change of coach.

Ansorge is not to be envied at the moment.

His change contingent this time consists of only one squad player.

Arjanit Robaj and Moritz Tikovsky are already in the starting XI.

Everything else is kickers from the second team.

In addition to the long-term injuries (with Armin Sporer, Michael Stahl, Tobias Ried), Martin Krimshandl (private), Johannes Greif (professional) and Andreas Schiessl, who took a hit against Penzberg, are absent on Saturday.

There is no question that six failures massively thin out a district league squad that is customary in the industry.

"Due to the situation, we're definitely not going into the game as favorites," Ansorge clarifies.

Of course, despite all the odds, there is a tried and tested eleven on the pitch.

However, the most recent games have shown that stability and structure cannot be maintained over the entire season.

Inevitably, the coach practices improvisation.

He announces "many changes and shifts in some positions".

Ansorge hopes to be able to throw the BCF off course in this way, but also emphasizes that "the world is not going to end just because things are not going that way".

The 55-year-old is convinced that he will soon counteract the trend with a full workforce.

Until then, all available forces must be pushed to their performance limit.

"I can't put any players on the bench because they might not be performing well or need a break," Ansorge regrets the limited rotation options.

This extends the responsibility to a broader spectrum of players.

Their special task in Wolfratshausen will be to prevent high balls to Jona Lehr and Musti Kantar - alongside central defender Timon Hummel two of three leftovers from the Bayernliga days - but also "to stop the game from behind".
