Storm in the NBA: Ima Yudoka, coach of the Boston Celtics, who only last season led them to the NBA finals, has been suspended for an entire season and will not guide them in the coming season.
This was announced by the group on Thursday night.
The reason for the suspension is an inappropriate intimate relationship that a judoka had with a Celtics teammate.
The relationship between the two was consensual, but this is a violation of the group's code of conduct - what's more, Yudoka himself actually cheated on his fiancee, actress Nia Long.
This is surprising news, partly due to the promising record of Yudoka, who was appointed the team's coach last summer after stints in San Antonio, Philadelphia and Brooklyn as an assistant coach.
The start of Yudoka's first season in the position was not easy, but he later managed to lead the Celtics to an impressive end of the regular season, and continued with it all the way to the NBA Finals, bringing the team back there for the first time after 12 years.
Had an affair even though he was engaged.

After the punishment became clear, Yudoka took responsibility and said: "I want to apologize to our players, the fans and the whole club. To my family that I let them down. I'm sorry for putting the team in a difficult situation and I accept the club's decision. I have respect for everyone involved and I will not comment anymore on the subject".
The one who will replace Yudoka in this position in the meantime will be his assistant Joe Mazzola.
Will Hardy, Yudoka's former assistant, left the team in June and was named Utah's coach.
