Will Mick Schumacher change the racing team next year?

Haas avoids making a commitment to his driver, some of the competition's cockpits are still free.

Grove - For Mick Schumacher, it's not just about points in the last six races of this season, the 23-year-old will also need to do as much self-promotion as possible.

The future of the Formula 1 driver is unclear, his current racing team Haas makes him fidget and is apparently looking for alternatives.

At the same time, only a few teams are still looking for regular drivers for each of the two cockpits.

On Friday, the British racing team Williams announced the separation from Nicholas Latifi, which should increase Schumi Junior's chances again.

Mick Schumacher looking for a cockpit: Latifi leaves Williams – chance for the German

Latifi is leaving Williams after three years, ending a not-so-successful time for the Canadian.

In his 55 starts so far, the 27-year-old driver has only scored seven points, resulting from a seventh and a ninth place last year.

Williams will announce “in due course” who will start next season alongside his previous team-mate Alex Albon, although German team boss Jost Capito recently let himself be looked at.

At the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, the 63-year-old answered openly when asked whether Schumacher would be an option for the traditional team: "Of course.

I think Mick is very fast and a good guy.

He should be on every list of teams that have a seat left,” replied the winner.

However, he is not the only Williams candidate, Logan Sargeant, Daniel Ricciardo and Formula 2 champion Felipe Drugovich are also being traded.

However, other racing teams apparently also have Schumacher on the list.

Schumacher should also be on the short list for the remaining cockpit at Alpine, Fernando Alonso had recently made a starting place free with his move to Aston Martin.

However, Pierre Gasly could still switch to Alpine, Nyck de Vries could replace the French at AlphaTauri.

In addition, Mick would theoretically still have a chance of employment at Alfa Romeo.

At AlphaTauri, however, the train has left because the contract with the Japanese Yuki Tsunoda has been extended.

Staying with Haas is still possible, team boss Günther Steiner, who recently also commented on the rumors about Nico Hülkenberg, said to RTL regarding the cockpit occupation: “We don’t actually have any time pressure at all, everyone else has time pressure, just not us , that's an advantage that we won't take away from us.” Schumacher will probably see things differently, also because Steiner classifies his chances as “fifty-fifty”.
