The SG Barockstadt Fulda-Lehnerz continues to ride the wave of success in the Regionalliga Südwest.

After the 4-1 (2-0) win against VfR Wormatia Worms, the reigning Hessenliga champions have been unbeaten in six games.

After the 3-0 win at KSV Hessen Kassel, SGB coach Sedat Gören understandably saw no reason for changes.

The coach was happy that Dominik Rummel was back in the squad of the SG Barockstadt Fulda-Lehnerz after his muscle strain.

VfR Wormatia Worms, meanwhile, traveled to the Southwest Regional League for a duel between two promoted teams, with several players suffering from illness.

Coach Maximilian Mehring was forced to make three changes in the back four, but the guests have already won against Kickers Offenbach and Mainz 05.

Regionalliga Südwest: Barockstadt deserves a break against Worms

Due to the personnel situation, the Worms coach will have liked the first half hour.

Although the SG Barockstadt had the bulk of the game, it remained uneventful for a long time.

In part, the SGB seemed a bit sloppy and acted imprecisely.

But matching the course of the regional league season, the Fulda-Lehnerzer bribed with efficiency.

And, of course, a standard ushered in the win.

Leon Pomnitz hit the corner, Eric Ganime headed and VfR keeper Ricco Cymer was only able to save behind the goal line (27th).

It was the can opener, security was back and above all Barockstadt's left-back Kevin Hillmann shone.

The 29-year-old played his role very offensively and repeatedly caused danger.

He had the 2-0 five minutes after the lead at his foot and at his head, but Cymer parried first,

before Hillmann's soulful header was scraped off the line.

But Hillmann, who took the corner at 1-0, wasn't done yet.

He rushed after a long ball, the Worms defense was at odds and the SGB full-back used the slapstick insert and splashed in between.

Will Siakam thanked him and pushed in to make it 2-0 (36').

Löbig and Wüst fix Barockstadt's home win in the Regionalliga Südwest

At half-time, there was a lack of imagination that Wormatia Worms could take anything countable with them.

How dissatisfied trainer Mehring was made clear by his quadruple change with the restart.

In fact, the Rhineland-Palatinate rebelled, but at first Fortuna was on the side of the guests.

Aaron Frey's header hit the bar (49').

But just six minutes later, the baroque city was not up to par.

Alexander Shehada was all alone after a corner and reduced the lead (55').

Worms had tasted blood, just two minutes later Shehada was blocked by Frey and keeper Tobias Wolf at the very last moment.

It had to be clearer again in the SGB game - and Marius Löbig made sure of that.

The left winger captured the ball on the center line and pulled away, pulled in Arjen Robben-style and slammed in (66'). The self-image was back,

Pomnitz had the 4:1 at his foot, and was supposed to score – again – after a Dominik Wüst corner.

Worms keeper Cymer didn't look good again (77').
