Maccabi Haifa hopes that Daniel Sondgren will forget as soon as possible about his debut in the Swedish national team.
The defender received the team shirt for the first time in his career in the game against Serbia, but showed a lukewarm ability and saw the hot Aleksandar Mitrovic score a hat trick and inflict a 4:1 loss on the Swedes.
Sondgren was placed in a slightly different position than usual, almost on the standard of a brakeman, but all his attempts to narrow the steps of Fulham's outstanding striker were in vain.
The media killed him at the end.
On one of the sites he received a failing grade.
"Sundgren looked completely lost in his debut in the lineup. He had nothing to offer in the aerial battles against Mitrovic, and he couldn't get him on the ground either," it said.
He did not find himself in front of the formidable striker who stood on the other side.

One of the commentators wrote on another website: "Mitrovic beat the passive Sondgren 0:100. In every fight between them, the Maccabi Haifa player came out losing. But you can't blame Daniel Sondgren for being Daniel Sondgren."
As you remember, Sondgren is a candidate to receive Israeli citizenship soon.
At the weekend, he referred to this possibility in an interview in Sweden and said: "It will be like a golden ticket for my team, because then they can bring in another foreigner, and if it works, I will become very important. Then my salary will also increase," he said and laughed.
According to him, "I haven't decided yet if I will become a citizen, but there is a possibility. To be honest, I don't really care. It's mainly for the benefit of the club... They are pushing for it to happen towards the next window."
