Ten weak minutes robbed TuS Geretsried of a possible win against SpVgg Landshut on Saturday, who took over the sole lead in the Landesliga Southeast again with a 3-2 win in the Isarau Stadium.

"We could have won the game in the first half," said coach Daniel Dittmann in retrospect.

Geretsried – In his analysis, the TuS coach mainly referred to two major opportunities that could have made Fabijan Podunavac a match winner.

But the TuS attacker showed nerves when he failed twice in front of the goal in the 35th minute at Landshut's keeper Johannes Huber.

Two minutes later, Podunavac shot wide of the right post when a lob would probably have been a better choice.

At this point, the TuS dominated the game, which went on break with a 1:1.

Stephan König put the guests ahead when he jumped significantly higher than the surrounding defenders from a corner kick.

Srdan Ivkovic equalized: After initially placing a header right into the goalkeeper's arms, two minutes later he showed his coolness on his own and shoved the ball low into the right corner.

A "slack" after the change of sides reduced the hopes of the hosts to a minimum within five minutes.

A headball defense that was too short after a wide cross ball by Fabian Past was unstoppable for TuS goalkeeper Sebastian Untch to give Landshut a 2-1 lead in the net.

"We defended that naively," Dittmann commented on the renewed deficit.

A little later, the Geretsried network behind Untch bulged again:

After the double strike, his team "broke down a bit for ten minutes", Dittmann explained the break until the final offensive.

Here Podunavac made it 2:3 when he thundered the ball under the bar from 16 meters (75').

In the last quarter of an hour there were two more big chances for the home side, but Landshut goalkeeper Huber unpacked a huge reflex when Ivkovic headed the ball (81st) as well as Lukas Kellner's powerful turning shot in added time.

"It's a shame," said Daniel Dittmann, "we actually played a good game and had great energy on the pitch."
