Berlin Marathon: incredible Kipchoge, who breaks his own world record by more than 30 seconds

Four years after his previous record, the 38-year-old Kenyan lowered his own mark by 30 seconds running the Berlin Marathon in 2 hours


Berlin succeeded in Eliud Kipchoge.

The Kenyan had set the marathon record at 2:01:39 four years earlier in the German capital.

This Sunday morning, the 38-year-old athlete flirted with the legendary two-hour mark by covering the 42.195 km in 2 h 1 min 8 s.

Kipchoge started very strong and did not weaken in order to win the Berlin Marathon for the fourth time.

At km 40, he was thirty seconds ahead of his record before finishing his race to the applause of the crowd.
