Among the French, on the other hand, he is preceded by Rafael Nadal (34% against 28%), his runner-up in the two previous classifications and his partner in the last double disputed by the legend of Basel.

Tennis fans agree more on another subject: 68% of them believe that the career of “Roger” would not have been as good without his rivals “Rafa” and Novak Djokovic.

To flirt with unanimity, you have to venture into the field of personality and elegance.

The Swiss is "a unifying player": 91% of French people and 97% of tennis fans have a good opinion of him.

Zinedine Zidane himself does not benefit from the popularity rating of "RF" in France, according to the poll.

It must be said that the eight-time winner of Wimbledon collects qualities: technically gifted (95%), sympathetic (93%), elegant (90%) and close to the public (87%).

Federer did not break as many drops of sweat as Nadal on the court, but 94% of tennis fans surveyed see him as a combative player.

On Friday, his sensitivity moved the tennis world, which will not, however, stop spinning.

His retirement is "bad news for tennis" according to 58% of respondents who appreciate the sport, but it only marks the "end of the most glorious era of men's tennis" for half of them.

Finally, 91% of tennis fans are happy to have seen a tennis player of this caliber play.

54% say they are already nostalgic.
