PSG: Abdou Diallo "did not intend to stay at the club to be useless"

For the first time since leaving PSG, in the very last hours of the transfer window, Abdou Diallo explains what prompted him to look elsewhere to finally join RB Leipzig in the form of a one-season loan.

After contacts with AC Milan or Aston Villa, it was RB Leipzig who won the favor of the former Dortmund player.

And Leipzig, for me, it ticked all the boxes: a good club, with ambitions, with a big project, a stable project.

It played the Champions League, it plays the leading roles in the Bundesliga.

I found players that I knew, a championship that I knew and I also wanted to put myself at risk.

Over the weeks, Diallo rediscovered the pleasure of playing with the Germans in Leipzig (3 tenures, including 2 in the Champions League), despite the difficult start to the season for his team.
