Real Madrid, regardless of who is on the bench or which players wear their jersey, will always be Madrid.
And what white DNA dictates is winning games and adding titles.
Against Barcelona, in the Super Cup final, with extra time included, Chus Mateo inaugurated his record as head coach after winning the final (89-83) to bring the first trophy of the season to the Bernabéu for the fifth consecutive year .
With Musa leading (19 points and three assists), Llull dazzling off the bench (14 points with three triples) and a monolith in the paint called Tavares (24 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks), MVP of the game just as he was in last season's ACB finals, Madrid achieved a great comeback to add their ninth Super Cup, the most successful team in the tournament.
The whites are clear about their virtues and very few get so much out of them, but their flaws continue to weigh down the team.
Madrid enjoyed their power in the area, but bled to death at times due to the wound that has been open since last season: the outside game.
Despite Musa's incursion into the starting lineup, the Whites were denied from the perimeter, adding only one bingo in nine shots during the first half.
Until an exorbitant Llull came out of the break with his wrist on fire and scored three triples in a row, to which was added another bingo by Rudy.
The captains, who add their eighth Super Cup title, rescued their team once again, and lifted the trophy together, Rudy on one hand due to an injury to his right wrist after a hard crash in the third quarter.

Barcelona stood up in the physical battle as they had not done in last season's ACB finals.
Jasikevicius also knew how to take better advantage of the new regulations.
The coach used his
challenge
option from him to nullify a 2 + 1 from Musa and his team used the quick serve several times to surprise in transition.
Meanwhile, the whites came close to a technique to Yabusele for keeping the ball on the wing.
For the battle under the basket, Barça clung to Sanli and the Turk responded with one of his best games in the Barça shirt.
The center scored the first 11 points for his team and ended up going up to 21, also adding five rebounds and two blocks.
Madrid controlled the early stages with very incisive Deck and Yabusele, but lost the pulse of the game in the second quarter, when the offensive blackout was dire.
After a partial start of 6-0, Barça took the lead (17-21) while the Whites missed their first seven shots.
The great Barça defence, with Tobey and Sanli open and Vesely gagging Tavares, left the Whites with only 12 points in the second quarter, while Barça reached 26, with Kuric doing a lot of damage from the perimeter (two of three).
With the score at 29-37, it seemed that Barça had found a way to minimize Real Madrid, but the white captains appeared and gave the game an extra life with a partial after the break of 12-0.

Once again ahead after many minutes of slipstreaming, Madrid pressed in the third quarter against a Barça that reserved strength for the last act in which everything would be decided.
The 55-49 score before the start of the last quarter predicted an all-out war and the show did not disappoint.
Sanli, Kalinic and Kuric staged a 10-3 run to regain control of the scoreboard in just three minutes (58-59).
Madrid responded with Yabusele and Tavares shooting under the basket, and Musa flying in transition like a plane.
There was no possible truce.
Each basket was answered immediately, with the two teams overlapping on the scoreboard.
A great basket by Tobey 15 seconds from the end tied it (71-71) and Deck missed the last shot that would have led to victory.
To the extension with the swords raised and everything to decide.
Laprovittola, Barça's hero against Joventut, had a scoring duel with Llull in the first moments of extra time.
Triple by the azulgrana, 2+1 by the madridista.
Assist by Llull, layup by Lapro.
There was no way for a team to get unstuck.
Tavares took flight with the elimination of Vesely and the personal four of Tobey and Sanli.
Jokubaitis tied the game with less than a minute to go (83-83), but Madrid regained the lead thanks to the four free throws made by Yabusele and Deck.
The Argentine put the finishing touch to the match again from the free throw line.
For the fifth consecutive year, Real Madrid won the first title of the season, the first of the Chus Mateo era.
