Jamal Musiala shines for Germany against England.

He once played for the youth of the "Three Lions".

Brits coach Gareth Sothgate is beside himself.

And he sends criticism to Munich.

Munich/London – They called him "Bambi".

But they have to say goodbye to that at Bayern, even Thomas Müller, who had told about the nickname for teammate Jamal Musiala.

Because: Against England (3:3) Musiala played for Germany again like a big one.

Against England of all places.

After all, the 19-year-old had played for the junior teams of the “Three Lions” since the U15s.

In the U17, the Munich player wore the number 10, which is coveted by players.

England team manager Gareth Southgate was furious about this at the press conference late Monday evening (September 26).

He claimed that Bayern players allegedly won Musiala for Germany.

A look back: In the summer of 2019, the German Bundesliga record champions transferred the highly talented player from Chelsea FC's youth team to Säbener Straße in Munich.

The then 16-year-old already had a German passport.

His mother is German, he was born on February 26, 2003 in Stuttgart and grew up as a toddler in Fulda in East Hesse.

Already at the age of five, today's national player was considered an exceptional talent there.

One that the English were obviously only too happy to keep.

Jamal Musiala: England coach pays homage to the DFB star - and criticizes FC Bayern

“Musiala is an exceptional player.

We had him with us with Jude (

At Bayern, however, Musiala “trained with eight German internationals who had the opportunity to influence him.

It's a shame," said the 52-year-old harshly.

National coach Hansi Flick, on the other hand, rejoiced in view of Musiala's performance.

“Today he showed in many situations what characterizes him.

We need that," said the man from Baden in an interview with the TV station RTL: "If he dribbles, you have a different game situation, the opponent is open.

Then you have rooms that you can go into.

That's just what sets Jamal apart."

Musiala dribbled into the box, among other things, when he won the penalty against the hopelessly overwhelmed Harry Maguire (Manchester United) to make it 1-0 (51st minute).

Multilegged, technically adept and explosive at the same time, the teenager presented the massive 29-year-old with an impossible task.

Jamal Musiala: The Bayern star played well against England

“Jamal just showed today why he is an exceptional talent.

At the second goal he won the ball in his own half.

And he is a player, both defensively and offensively, who is very good for us," said Flick at the press conference next to Southgate: "The dribbles he does allow him to get the penalty kick in situations like this.

But of course also playing off the opponent, one or two players.

Then it's a different situation, we have more room and space."

What Flick meant: Before Chelsea star Kai Havertz (67th) made it 2-0, Musiala had again stubbornly won the ball in midfield against the completely indisposed Maguire and initiated the counterattack via Leipzig's Timo Werner.

Jamal Musiala: Uli Hoeneß demands regular place guarantee at Bayern

Added to this was a strong tackle rate of 62 percent and a very good pass rate for an offensive man of 85 percent.

FCB honorary president Uli Hoeneß promptly demanded a regular place for Musiala - both in the national team and with Bayern.

He was a "big fan" of the youngster, he explained on RTL: "In the run-up to this game, he was put under endless pressure.

You could have thought that Messiah would play for Germany.

He withstood the pressure.

Jamal is of course a player, if he plays like he does today, he has to be a seed at FC Bayern and also in the national team."
