Rugby Night: Montpellier, Stade Montois and Léo Coly at the party


Zach Mercer, Philippe Saint-André and his staff were rewarded for their title of champion of France. The Stade Montois recovers three statuettes: best staff and two prizes for Léo Coly, the scrum-half transferred from… Montpellier.

The 18th Night of Rugby, organized Monday evening at the Olympia, delivered its verdicts to reward the players, players, staff and referees who lit up the 2021-2022 season.

With a big winner, Montpellier, crowned champion of France for the first time in its history last June.

Philippe Saint-André and his staff were thus elected by their coaching peers as ''Best staff of the Top 14''.

In Pro D2, the big winner is Stade Montois, leader of the regular season but then beaten by Bayonne then Perpignan to remain stuck on the lower floor.

The staff of the Landes club was thus rewarded by his peers and scrum half Léo Coly won two prizes, that of best player in Pro D2 and that of revelation of the season.

At 23, the neo-Montpellier is ahead of the neo-Toulouse Ange Capuozzo.
