He wanted to leave to play more again - he succeeded.

Nevertheless, Tanguy Nianzou looks back positively on his time at Bayern Munich.

Munich / Seville - Tanguy Nianzou and FC Bayern - ultimately it was not a success story.

Nevertheless, the often spurned defender looks back on his time on Säbener Strasse in Munich without resentment.

He now explained how the departure came about.

"I have no regrets, no," Nianzou told French magazine

L'Équipe

: "Like any footballer, I was disappointed because you want to play everything.

But it shaped me mentally and today I'm prepared for any situation."

Tanguy Nianzou: Bayern made me grow

Nianzou speaks of an instructive time: "FC Bayern made me grow.

Mentally it helped me to say to myself: 'Okay, nothing can be taken for granted.'

It's already associated with strong competition, with international players.

It was great to make progress with them.

I also had two big injuries.”

Still, according to Nianzou, a move towards the end was inevitable: "It's good to improve in sessions, but if you can't play a little more... I haven't played much in two years.

The third year was important.

The decision for Seville was the right one.

I found another soccer ball.

With a lot of ground play, passes and movements.”

FC Bayern Munich: There is a buyback option for Nianzou

Nianzou also reveals the circumstances that led to the move from PSG to Bayern.

He decided to join FCB even though his coach at the time, Thomas Tuchel, fought for him: "FC Bayern's project convinced me.

I understand people criticizing me, but they didn't have the conversations I had with Bayern.

In the end I had a phone call with coach Tuchel.

That really touched me.

He asked me to stay.

But the choice was already made.”

However, he does not rule out a return to Paris: "For a Parisian boy, that is always a goal.

It's up to me to improve and one day reach the level of Paris.”

Nianzou has been doing well at Seville so far - he has secured a place as a regular and has featured in all of the club's league games so far.

And FC Bayern is not completely ruled out as a future club either: According to

Diario de Sevilla

, there is a buyback clause, but it amounts to 55 million euros.

Sevilla paid 16 million euros for the 20-year-old, with the sum still rising to 20 million.

FC Bayern has probably taken the first steps to sign Harry Kane.

Even if the association itself wants to keep the issue small.
