The Israeli police are investigating with Interpol in Bulgaria a violent incident that took place outside the basketball hall where Hapoel Haifa played this evening (Wednesday) and where fans of the team were attacked.
The Bulgarian police arrested a number of suspects, apparently four, and passed on their details to their Israeli counterpart.
In the coming days she will hand over the suspects in the attack and until then she will keep them in custody in Bulgaria.

The police suspect that this is an act of revenge by Maccabi Haifa fans, for stealing and burning the cheering equipment from the warehouses at the Sami Ofer Stadium last week.
The police also suspect that one of the fans who was attacked was involved in the theft of the equipment and was released by the court in Haifa.
"All directions are being examined," said police sources, "the direction of the investigation is clear. The issue will also be examined at the intelligence level and there will be more arrests in the coming days in an attempt to stop this story."
