Common challenge with a new name

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen – The TV Bad Tölz volleyball players and their coach Mirko Panev had been working towards this for several years.

Invested meticulously in technique and tactics, coped with departures and setbacks.

Then Corona came and put up new hurdles.

Not insurmountable for the Isarwinklers, who rose twice during the pandemic.

In the 2021/2022 season, even with just one defeat from the district league, the leap into the state league was possible for the first time ever, and that was the beginning of the challenge.

Panev and Fischer plan the new season

Panev and division manager Wolfram Fischer began planning for the next round of the game with the rise.

It was clear to both of them that it wasn't going to be that easy.

Many players have their high school diploma in their pockets and switch to a new city or abroad to study.

Most recently, there were only nine players available - quite little for a long season.

It quickly became clear that the dilemma could hardly be solved within the club and that the search for reinforcements would have to look to other clubs.

New SG at the last minute

The only alternative would have been a deregistration or a registration with – more expensive – deregistration if you had to withdraw during the current season due to a lack of personnel.

Almost at the last minute and thanks to a long woven net, Wolfram Fischer managed to form a syndicate with the VSG Isar-Loisach and to get approval from the Vice President of the Bavarian Volleyball Association, Petra Stumpf.

VSG benefits from the deal

The SG Bad Tölz/Isar-Loisach initially exists for the current 2022/2023 season.

TV Bad Tölz takes over the financial obligations as well as the right to play at the end of the season.

But the most important thing for the team around coach Mirko Panev is the opportunity to serve with its players in the national league.

But VSG Isar-Loisach players also benefit from the deal.

You can actively participate in up to two games in the state league at TV Tölz without getting stuck there.

So you can continue to work in your traditional VSG Isar-Loisach team and still gain experience in the higher league.
