Olympic Games 2024: skateparks, 5-a-side football... Already 230 new local facilities in Oise and Île-de-France

A year after Emmanuel Macron's announcement of the 5,000 new sports equipment plan by the 2024 Games, more than 200 projects have been approved.


The National Sports Agency (ANS) – born in 2018 to manage the high level and coordinate sports policies in France – has not been idle.

In October 2021, Emmanuel Macron announced an envelope of 200 million euros (M€) intended to create 5,000 additional sports facilities throughout France.

1,800 projects, including just over 200 in Île-de-France and Oise, have already been validated.

“It's a very positive start, notes Frédéric Sanaur, Director General of ANS.

Communities were able to mobilize quickly.
