Young shooters from Armstorf, Oberornau and Griesstätt came to visit the "Frohsinn" shooting club in Schönbrunn for the first youth biathlon in the new club lounge.
Schönbrunn – A total of 17 participants, divided into five teams and two individual players, started every minute in front of the clubhouse.
The running course led around 700 meters in a large arc around the outside of the clubhouse to the shooting range in the basement, where the participants first had to shoot lying down and after another round of running standing up.
Within a few weeks, Franz Gerlmaier's team had organized this first official youth biathlon in Schönbrunn.
"The participants had good times," he said happily.
The two Armstorfer teams made it onto the podium.
However, the Oberornauer delivered the best time.
The hosts from Schönbrunner took fourth place, "but had the fewest missed shots," said Gerlmaier proudly.
Verena Göschl from Schönbrunn scored the most goals that day with nine out of ten goals.
For subsequent refreshment, the young biathletes were served curry sausages sponsored by the Mair butcher and drinks sponsored by Bräu z'Loh.
The winners are looking forward to a voucher for the autumn festival that is currently taking place in neighboring Haag.
