SV Kranzberg has overcome a crisis with a loss of members and a closed sports center and is now looking to the future with confidence.

Kranzberg

– Those responsible at SV Kranzberg started to modernize their club in various areas last year.

This process is to be continued in the future with appropriate investments.

That was the tenor at the annual general meeting in the sports home of the SVK.

SV Kranzberg: Sportheim had to close for hygiene reasons - 60,000 euros expensive renovation

In retrospect, chairman Anton Hierhager recalled that the club was not always in good shape.

The number of members fell within ten years from around 1000 to 730 in 2021.

The sports center had to close for hygiene reasons.

"We did a lot to get the opening permit back." The SVK spent 60,000 euros to renovate the sports center.

In this context, Hierhager thanked the sponsors, donors and especially the municipality of Kranzberg for their support.

"It is also not a matter of course that a municipality makes the sports hall available to a club free of charge," says the club boss.

Mayor Hermann Hammerl praised the commitment of the members: "I am pleased to have such an active association with so many active members in the community.

In her cash report, cashier Sandra Silingas made it clear that income and expenditure would currently cover each other.

In this context, the club boss emphasized that no debts would be incurred.

New investments can only be made with the help of sponsors, donations and grants.

The chief financial officer is worried about rising energy costs.

However, the club is happy to heat with liquid gas, where the price increase would be limited.

The club's management announced that it would only be able to cushion the rising energy costs by increasing the contribution.

SV Kranzberg: the decline in members has been stopped and the range of sports has been expanded - planning for the 75th anniversary celebration

The head of the association was also pleased that the decline in membership could already be stopped.

"We currently have 773." This upward trend should continue.

The soccer field in front of the clubhouse is to be enlarged and upgraded with a modern irrigation system.

Two tennis courts are to be equipped with floodlights.

A children's playground is to be built with the help of the community, as is a calisthenics park, i.e. a course with equipment on which you can do strength training with your own body weight.

"So we want to upgrade our sports facilities and expand our range of sports," the chairman summed up.

He is certain that some things will be completed as early as next summer.

Next year, SV Kranzberg will celebrate its 75th birthday.

"We want to organize a small, modest party," announced the club boss.

On June 23, 24 and 25, 2023, there will be a celebration with a sports day where the departments can present themselves.

There may also be live music and a football game in which the SVK competes against a well-known opponent.
